Refund Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
If the guide isn't what you expected, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full. You don't have to explain why.
How to request a refund
- Email hello@chinatravelplaybook.com from the address you used to buy.
- Include your order or receipt number if you have it — but if you can't find it, just tell us the email you paid with.
- We'll confirm within 2 business days and process the refund.
Refunds are returned to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take a further 5–10 business days to show the credit.
Digital delivery and your right of withdrawal
Because this is a digital product delivered immediately, you're asked at checkout to consent to immediate delivery. Under EU and UK consumer law, that consent means the standard 14-day right of withdrawal doesn't apply once you've accessed the material.
Our 14-day money-back guarantee is a voluntary policy that is more generous than the law requires. We offer it because we'd rather you be happy than hold onto a sale.
What isn't covered
- Requests made more than 14 days after purchase.
- Cases where the guide has been redistributed, resold or publicly shared in breach of our Terms of Service.
- Dissatisfaction with a trip itself — including weather, closures, price changes or travel disruption. We're a publisher, not a travel agency.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, please email us before contacting your bank. A chargeback takes weeks to resolve and costs us a fee; a direct email usually takes two days. We'd much rather just fix it.
Wrong or duplicate charges
If you were charged twice, or charged for something you didn't order, tell us and we'll sort it out immediately — no 14-day window applies to billing errors.
