These terms apply when you buy or use China Travel Playbook. By completing a purchase you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't buy.
1. What you're buying
China Travel Playbook is a digital product: a travel planning guide delivered as documents and Notion templates. Nothing is shipped. There is no physical product and no logistics.
You are buying a personal licence to use the material. You are not buying the material itself.
2. Your licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the guide for your own personal, non-commercial travel planning. That means you may:
- Read, print and annotate it for your own trip.
- Duplicate the Notion templates into your own workspace.
- Share individual tips with friends in conversation.
You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the guide in any form.
- Publish substantial portions of it publicly or use it to build a competing product.
- Share your access link or duplicate link with people who haven't paid.
Each purchase is for one person. If you're planning a trip as a group, everyone who wants the guide needs their own copy.
3. Travel information is a snapshot, not a promise
China moves fast. Visa rules, ticket systems, app availability, opening hours, prices and transport schedules change without notice. We work hard to keep the guide current, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is accurate on the day you travel.
Always confirm time-sensitive details — especially visa and entry requirements — with official sources before you fly. You are responsible for your own travel decisions.
4. Not a travel agency
We are a publisher. We do not book flights, hotels, trains or tours, and we do not act as your agent. We have no affiliation with any government, embassy, airline, hotel or tour operator mentioned in the guide.
5. Payment and taxes
Payments are processed by our merchant-of-record partner, who acts as the seller of record for the transaction. They handle payment collection, applicable sales tax and VAT, and the invoice you receive.
6. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the guide and any Notion templates available at all times, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, restructure or retire parts of the product as the information changes.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the guide. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including missed flights, cancelled plans, or costs arising from information that has changed since publication.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you bought the guide is the version that applies to your purchase. The date at the top shows when this version was published.
